  • Micro$oft will no longer support netscape style plugins.
In the early versions of IE, they went to great lengths to make IE compatible with Netscape in every possible way. From JavaScript to HTML to plugins. IE would even read the netscape plugin directory to pick up plugins! Now in a style we have seen repeated over and over again. They are now making this feature incompatible. Even though the browser war is basically over (at this point IE is 87% netscape about 12%), it bothers me that Microsoft uses this tactic over and over again to get rid of competition (write a similar or compatible product, then bundle it, then make it incompatible).
    - no judge, we're not a monopoly.
